Women's Health

While SMC Physio offers a range of services, it has a strong focus on women's health physiotherapy and education. Women's health is a growing field of physiotherapy which covers pregnancy, the postpartum period and the pelvic floor. This includes many issues such as:

  • Incontinence

  • Pregnancy pains

  • Ab separation (DRAM)

  • Pelvic organ prolapse

To properly assess and treat these issues an internal examination is usually recommended. To find out more about these conditions and how I can help treat them please contact me to discuss.

Sport Physiotherapy

Sport and musculoskeletal physiotherapy is a field that I have a lot of experience in and a passion for.

I have extensive experience working with sporting injuries at all levels.

I also have experience working with elite athletes across many sporting fields, including netball, football, cross fit, ballet, weight lifting and many more.

Most of my experience has been focused on Australian Rules Football, where athletes experience a wide range of injuries, working with teams including the following:

  • South Adelaide Panthers (SANFL)

  • NT Thunder (NEAFL)

  • Nightcliff Tigers (NTFL)

  • Darwin Buffaloes (NTFL)

Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation

One of the most common reasons people need to see a physio is to rehabilitate from an injury or surgery such as an ACL tear, shoulder dislocation, hamstring tear and the list goes on. A full recovery from these injuries requires rehabilitation and exercise.

As I also have a degree in Exercise and Sport Science creating rehabilitation and exercise programs is something I have a lot of experience in and passion for.
